The Research Text section of the Research Page is presented in a 2-column layout.  The left-hand column, provides an opportunity to provide a brief overview of the school's research activities.

In the right-hand column, there are two content types, one above the other. The content type at the top enables research content to be featured. The content type at the bottom, contains the links to more news and events.

To update this part of the Research Page, the following content must be updated.

  1. Research Text
  2. Reseach Landing Teaser (At a minimum site coordinator access required.)

Update the Research Text

Step 1

Using the mouse, hover the pointer over the right-hand corner of the text to activate the Edit cog (). Click the icon to display the menu.

Step 2

The menu displays. Select Edit to open the Structure page.

Step 3

The Structure page displays.  Enter the updated text and click Save.

Update the Research Landing Teaser pane

The Research Landing Teaser pane is not populated unless content has been linked to feature in this pane.

Step 1

Using the mouse, hover the pointer over the white space next to the View more News button to activate the Edit cog (). Click the icon to display the menu.

Step 2

The menu displays. Select Edit to open the Structure page.

Step 3

Using the mouse, hover the pointer over the right-hand corner of the Research landing teasers pane. Click the icon to display the menu.

The menu displays.  Select Edit to open the Configure page.

Step 5

To enter the Node Reference, start typing the Title of the page to feature in the Research Landing Teaser pane and Title options will be displayed. Click on the Page Title to select the applicable page and Click Finish.

The Node Reference displays in the format Title (Node Number). See the image below.

Alternatively, enter the Node Reference to be displayed in the Research Landing Teaser pane on the Research Page in the format Title (Node Number) and click Finish.

 

  •   Find the Node Reference

    The Node Reference consists of the Title and the Node Number. Navigate to the page for which you require the node reference, and gather the required information.

     

    Find the node reference
     
    1. The Title (item numbered 1) appears at the top of the page above the tabs (i.e. view, edit and manage display).
    2. Hover the pointer over the edit tab, refer to item numbered 2. The path for the page will appear at the bottom of the screen, refer to item numbered 3.
    3. 291/edit. The number 291 in the path is the Node Number.
    4. Thus, the Node Reference is Recent Projects (291).
 

The article displays in the Research Landing Teaser pane.

Step 6

Review the Research Landing Teaser pane on the Research Page.  The numbered items in the image refer to the following fields on the Article that is published.

  1. Article Title
  2. Article Image
  3. Image Title

Step 7

To amend the display in the Research Landing Teaser pane, return to the Article and edit the numbered items and click Save
